The recent paintings resume the artist’s pictorial research, referring to the construction and/or deconstruction of landscapes in large size canvases. By adopting the Bolivian salt deserts as a visual matrix, the artist treads in deciphering spatiality, searching to identify the existence of vague limits between the transcendental space and the axis of the desert ground. Drawing works as a pretext and problematizes questions that permeate the “infertile place”, the “infertility place” and the “place of simplicity”. Sky and sun, salt and water. Mythical pairs that rehearse narrative threads.
