Featured on the cover of the reference book on Brazilian painting in the 21st century, PINTURA BRASILEIRA SÉC. XXI, Bruno Dunley is part of the new generation of Brazilian painters named 2000e8. Dunleyʼs works question the pictorial premises, and in particular existence and temporality of the painted representations in the individual and collective consciousness. Found or ﬁctional images are carefully constructed and erased at times, revealing gaps in the apparent continuity of perception and relating through presence and absence alike.
